Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect nursing care of patients ranging from 18 years to geriatric.
• Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.
• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments, including but not limited to:
  • Hand Held Nebulizer Therapy
  • Various nasal oxygen devices
  • Administration of prescribed medicinal vapors and gases, humidity, and various oxygen concentrations to the respiratory system
  • Chest physical therapy treatments

Qualifications

• Credentialed by The National Board of Respiratory Care as a CRT or RRT.
• Licensed to practice in North Carolina.
• BLS/ACLS required.
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in an acute care environment; critical care experience preferred.
