Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Respiratory Therapy
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering a $20,000 sign-on bonus for Respiratory Therapists. Eligible candidates must be hired into a full or part-time position. The bonus amount is prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
About the Role
The Respiratory Therapist I demonstrates basic competency in foundational respiratory care procedures under supervision and provides assessment, treatment, monitoring, and education to patients across care settings. This role continues to develop clinical expertise and critical thinking, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration while progressing within the respiratory care role.
This is a full-time (36 hours), night shift position. Ideal for recent graduates seeking career starters or early career opportunities.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Co-ARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
- Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care required.
- Minimum of a CRT certification required, or an RRT certification is required. Must have an RRT certification to advance to a Respiratory Therapist II.
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as required by facility, or must obtain within one year of start date.
- No prior experience required.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $34.35 to $46.46 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
