Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED; Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program with a Diploma or AAS Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Experience: Previous hospital experience preferred
- Licenses/Certificates:
- Current Alabama Respiratory Therapy License issued by the Alabama State Board for Respiratory Care, and Registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care, if credentialed after 2005.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (may obtain BLS and ACLS within the first 7 days after hospital orientation).
- PALS and NRP will be required within 90 days of hospital wide orientation if not already current.
