Respiratory Therapist - RRT - LTC

About the Role

Provide direct respiratory care to patients in a long-term and post-acute care setting. The role offers flexibility with PRN scheduling and opportunities for professional growth in a specialized geriatric and post-acute environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatments, perform assessments, monitor responses, and adjust therapies accordingly
• Operate, maintain, and ensure safety of respiratory equipment
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response or code situations
• Document treatments, assessments, and patient progress accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about respiratory conditions and therapies

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field; new graduates encouraged to apply
• Active Maryland Registered Respiratory Therapist License
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner through MDBPQA
• CRT or RRT eligibility
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR Certification
