Respiratory Therapist RRT-Crestwood Medical Center-FT-1st shift

About the role

Administer mechanical ventilation, pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe and implement physician's written or verbal orders.
• Assess, observe, and monitor patients' signs and symptoms, behavior, and physical responses to treatments and diagnostic tests.
• Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.
• Implement changes in treatment based on physician's orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program with a Diploma or AAS Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Respiratory Therapy License issued by the Alabama State Board for Respiratory Care, and Registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care, if credentialed after 2005.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (to be obtained within the first 7 days after hospital orientation).
• PALS and NRP certification required within 90 days of hospital-wide orientation if not already current.
