About the Role
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will provide specialized respiratory care, including measuring lung capacity, analyzing blood samples, delivering therapy, and monitoring patient responses. You will evaluate policies, respond to emergencies, and educate patients and families about their condition and resources.
Responsibilities
- Measure lung function and analyze blood samples
- Administer and evaluate respiratory therapies
- Respond to emergent situations and assist in code responses
- Educate patients and families on illness management and community resources
- Maintain respiratory supplies and equipment
- Perform diagnostic tests and collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans
Requirements
- Current state RRT license
- Degree from an accredited institution
- Basic Life Support certification (within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS and PALS certifications (within six months of hire)
Qualifications
- Preferred: one year of experience
- Preferred: ACLS certification
