Respiratory Therapist - Richland

Key Responsibilities

• Administer oxygen, set up and maintain ventilators and CPAP devices, assist with intubation, and manage airway care.
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other life support procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, interpret orders, and administer medications related to respiratory therapy.
• Utilize equipment for positive pressure, humidification, nebulization, and secretion removal.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests, 12-lead EKGs, and oversee skilled procedures.
• Ensure equipment safety, adapt care to patient age and needs, and supervise technicians when necessary.
• Perform arterial punctures, evaluate respiratory status, and educate patients on medications and therapies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification and relevant state licensure.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP.
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, work independently, and supervise staff.
• Strong patient care skills, attention to safety, and adaptability to different age groups.
