About the role

Respiratory Therapist position available on a PRN basis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with medical providers, supervisors, and lead staff to coordinate patient care.
• Assemble, operate, maintain, and monitor a variety of respiratory therapy equipment.
• Perform arterial punctures and assist with clinical decision-making.
• Assist nursing staff with respiratory care assessments, treatments, and documentation.
• Provide guidance on home oxygen equipment and related orders.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
• NBRC credentials as a respiratory therapist (RRT and CRT).
• Current Wyoming licensure as a respiratory therapist (RRT and CRT).
• BLS certification upon hire.
• Achieve ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within 6 months of hire.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with intubation, tracheostomy care, CPAP, BiPAP, heated high flow nasal cannula, deep suctioning, sputum collection, nebulizer treatments, cardiac rehab, PFT’s, Zio Patches, Nonin NOC OX, and EMT.
• Good customer service skills.

Other Requirements

• Ability to identify and report abnormal patient conditions.
• Participate in a team-based approach to patient care.
• Interpret and apply complex medical instructions and procedures.
