About the role

Loyola Medicine Transport, part of Loyola Medicine—a nationally ranked academic, quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs—is seeking a part-time, night-shift Respiratory Therapist to join its team. Loyola Medicine includes Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, and MacNeal Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day Respiratory Care, including bronchial hygiene procedures, oxygen initiation and follow-up, and care of Emergency Room patients in need of Respiratory Services.
• Sets up and performs complex respiratory care procedures such as continuous artificial ventilation and administration of medications.
• Records patient data, including ventilatory volumes, pressure/flows, and blood gas analysis.

Requirements

• Associate degree in respiratory care; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current Illinois state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC (required within 6 months of hire if not already certified).

Pay

Starting pay rate: $41.35 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
