RESPIRATORY THERAPIST (PRN) - RESPIRATORY

About the role

The Respiratory Therapist at Northwest Specialty Hospital provides pulmonary care in accordance to specific physician orders, department policies, and procedures. The role involves administering pulmonary care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the pulmonary system, performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures related to the pulmonary system.

Responsibilities

• Administering pulmonary care and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the pulmonary system
• Performing diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures related to the pulmonary system
• Working variable shifts with eligibility for a $3.50/hour night shift differential

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy
• Current LRT licensure through Idaho Board of Medicine
• Demonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standards
• Must demonstrate initiative and discipline in time management and medical record review
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Current BLS Certification
• ACLS and PALS Certification within 6 months of hire date

Qualifications

• Experience in respiratory therapy is preferred
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in medical terminology and procedures
