About the role
Provide comprehensive respiratory care in various hospital units, including ICU, NICU, and outpatient pulmonary labs.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and deliver respiratory procedures for adults and neonates
- Manage equipment such as ventilators and CPAP machines
- Conduct blood gas analyses
- Care for neonatal patients in labor and delivery
- Assist with bronchoscopy using disposable tools
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in cross-training opportunities and professional development courses
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Previous neonatal respiratory care experience or successful completion of orientation with competency validation
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
- Actively practicing and maintaining competencies in adult and neonatal care
Qualifications
Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential preferred.
