Respiratory Therapist / PRN Days

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Erie is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. Respiratory Therapists (RT) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) is required upon hire.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.

Pay

• $40.00 per hour.

Schedule

• 6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. - PRN/Per Diem/As Needed.
