Respiratory Therapist - PRN, Days

About the role

Performs respiratory therapy duties independently across Intensive Care units and critical care settings, following physician orders and departmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
• Perform airway management and blood gas analysis
• Document procedures accurately
• Educate patients and families
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members
• Adhere to infection control and quality standards
• Ensure proper disinfection of equipment

Requirements

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent experience
• Licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Maintain certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS, and NPS

Skills

• Experience treating patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics

Reporting structure

Works under supervision, reporting to a manager or director. No management responsibilities.
