Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem Nightshift -

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital Ann Arbor is a critical illness recovery hospital that provides world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Respiratory Therapists (RTs) are central to this mission, offering compassionate and expert care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in patient care.
• Teach and counsel patients and families about their care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess an Active CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred), high school transcript/diploma, or GED.
• Must have current state licensure.
• Must have ACLS certification upon hire (agency RTs must have ACLS upon first shift).

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.

Skills

Knowledge of respiratory care techniques and equipment, ability to assess and treat respiratory issues, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

Part-time/per diem positions are eligible for 401(k) based on reaching 1,000 hours within their first anniversary or subsequent calendar year. The hospital offers an Employee Assistance Program for part-time employees.

Pay

$41.00 per hour.

Schedule

PRN Nightshift: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am.
