Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem Nights

About the Role

Select Specialty Hospital - Cincinnati Downtown is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. We help patients during some of the most vulnerable, painful moments of their lives—and Respiratory Therapists (RT) play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment every step of the way.

Schedule

PRN/Per Diem/As Needed - 12 Hour Shifts - Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

• Tier 1: Three 12-hour shifts per six-week schedule; 1 major holiday: $42.00 per hour + applicable shift differentials.
• Tier 2: Minimum of two 12-hour shifts per week; one major/minor holiday; at least 3 weekend shifts per six-week schedule: $52.00 per hour + applicable shift differentials.

Pay

• Compensation: $42.00 per hour (Tier 1) or $52.00 per hour (Tier 2), plus applicable shift differentials.
• Sign-On Bonus: $3,750.00

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients and families.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation (college transcript/diploma preferred; high school transcript/diploma or GED accepted).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure.
• ACLS required upon hire (agency RTs must have ACLS upon first shift).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
