Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem, Days & Nights available

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Respiratory Therapists (RTs) are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout the recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in respiratory therapy practices.
• Teach and counsel patients and families about respiratory care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess an Active CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred), high school transcript/diploma, or GED.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
• An RRT credential is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Part-time/Per Diem positions eligible for 401(k) based on reaching 1,000 hours within the first anniversary or subsequent calendar year.

Pay

• $42 per hour plus shift differential for night and/or weekend shifts.

Schedule

• PRN/Per diem - Day and Night shifts available (7-7).

Sign-on Bonus

• $2,500 sign-on bonus offered.
