Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem

About the role

Responsible for assessing patient respiratory needs, planning, performing, and evaluating treatments in a clinical setting. Provides patient and family education on disease management, manages mechanical ventilators, and performs routine therapies such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and airway care. Assists with invasive procedures like fiberoptic bronchoscopy, placement of monitoring lines, and intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients. Ensures compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and confidentiality protocols. Collaborates with medical teams, maintains equipment, and documents assessments and treatments accurately. Requires experience in respiratory therapy and graduation from a specialty training program.

Responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior respiratory therapy experience
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices
• Proficiency with advanced respiratory equipment
