Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem

About the role

This position involves assessing patient respiratory care needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and managing therapeutic modalities such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and communicate findings with the care team.
• Perform routine and advanced respiratory procedures, including management of artificial airways.
• Assist with intra‑hospital transport of ventilated patients.
• Provide emergency airway management.
• Perform blood gas analysis.
• Support invasive procedures such as bronchoscopy and line placements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Respiratory therapist experience.
• Graduation from a specialty respiratory therapy training program.
• Strong knowledge of evidence‑based practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Technical proficiency with respiratory equipment and therapeutic modalities.
