Role Overview
Responsible for assessing, planning, performing, and evaluating respiratory patient care, ensuring optimal patient and family experience.
Key Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop care plans
- Perform therapeutic modalities such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and secretion management
- Operate mechanical ventilators
- Assist with airway management
- Monitor patient status with equipment
- Support patient education
- Collaborate with medical teams
- Assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Serve as Shift Coordinator and preceptor
- Support intra-hospital transport of patients
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (required)
- Current certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
- Strong communication, teamwork, and technical skills
- Ability to operate advanced equipment and follow protocols
