Experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) needed for in-home respiratory care in Mt. Arlington / Northern NJ — permanent, Monday–Friday role with mileage reimbursement. Join our home health team delivering ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and patient-centered pulmonary care across Northern New Jersey.

Job Details

• Position: Respiratory Therapist - Homecare (RRT or CRT)
• Employment Type: Permanent, On-site
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hrs/week)
• Coverage Area: Mt. Arlington and surrounding Northern NJ communities
• Vehicle: Personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursement

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience, preferably in home health, pulmonary care, or ventilator management
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift and transport patient equipment (minimum 65 lbs)
• Proficient with documentation technology and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Perform in-home patient assessments and develop individualized respiratory care plans
• Provide education on oxygen therapy, airway management, inhaled medications, and home ventilator care
• Adjust ventilator settings per physician orders and monitor ventilator-dependent patients
• Troubleshoot and maintain respiratory equipment to ensure safe, optimal function
• Document services, clinical findings, and patient interactions accurately in electronic records
• Provide phone support, follow-up care, and emergency guidance for home respiratory patients
• Support training and orientation of new clinical staff and contribute to quality improvement

Preferred Skills

• Experience with home ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, long-term ventilation, and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Knowledge of home oxygen titration, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance techniques
• Comfortable delivering clinical respiratory services in a home health setting
