About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our Lubbock Heart team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary care, assist with various procedures, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary care for both inpatients and outpatients 24/7.
- Administer therapeutic medical gases, deliver aerosol therapy, administer prescribed medications, and report effectiveness to the physician.
- Assist with long and short-term continuous ventilation, airway management, pulmonary postural drainage, chest physiotherapy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic testing techniques such as Pulmonary Function testing, Bronchoscopies, EKG, ABG, Exercise and Nocturnal oximetry studies.
- Perform patient oronasal and/or tracheal suctioning.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of patient therapy and other department records.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served, including assessing patient status and interpreting necessary information.
- Comply with department policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be registered/certified and licensed by the state of Texas in Respiratory Care.
- Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or registry eligibility is required.
- BLS certification and ACLS certification preferred.
- Three to five (3-5) years combined clinical experience.

Shift Details
- Full-time Night shift (1730-0600).
- No mandatory overtime.
- Flexible scheduling available.
