About the role
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Managing oxygen therapy, ventilators, aerosolized medications, and diagnostic tests such as ABGs and pulse oximetry
- Assessing patient needs and monitoring responses to treatments
- Collaborating with physicians and nurses, including in critical care areas
- Ensuring safety and infection control
- Providing high-quality, compassionate patient care while adhering to department policies
- Participating in quality improvement
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Providing age-appropriate and specialized care
- Contributing to a safe and respectful environment for patients and staff
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- MO licensure
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures
- Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and in emergency situations
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Compliance with safety and infection control standards
