Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist (RT)

• Responsible for assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for adults.
• Selects and administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, development level and size of the patient.
• Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing.
• Should be able to identify own limitations and seek appropriate resources, as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree
• 1 year of experience
• VA Respiratory Care Practitioner License
• Respiratory Care Practitioner
• BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
• PALS certification (Issued by American Heart Association Provider)
• NBRC Credentials renewed and current for all applicable credentials (RRT, RRT-NPS, CPFT, RPFT) (Minimum for new hires post 7/1/2021)
• Pulmonary Function Lab Only: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist CPT required within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy

Pay and Compensation

You will earn a competitive hourly rate.

• Shift differentials:
  • Mon-Thu 7P-7A: $4 shift diff
  • Fri-Sun 7A-7P: $3 shift diff
  • Fri-Sun 7P-7A: $5 shift diff
• 1.5X Holiday Pay
• 1.5X Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week
