Respiratory Therapist LRT/RRT, PRN, Nights

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory patient assessments, makes appropriate recommendations and initiates recommended mode of therapy per physician orders.
• Must be familiar with ventilator equipment, respiratory medication delivery devices as well as be knowledgeable on performing chest physical therapy.
• Draws and analyzes arterial blood specimens.
• Assists in the interpretation of ABG's as needed.
• Responds to cardiopulmonary emergencies and assists with intervention as appropriate and within scope of practice.
• Performs EKG's and other diagnostic or therapeutic tests as assigned.
• Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team concerning interventions, discharge needs and patient education.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited program. NBRC Registry. ASBRT License.
• BLS required, ACLS preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years experience preferred.
