The Respiratory Therapist III provides routine, emergent, and critical cardiopulmonary care across all age groups under physician supervision. They supervise and deliver therapy according to protocols, assess patient progress, and adjust treatments as needed. Responsibilities include initiating and managing mechanical ventilation, performing advanced diagnostic procedures, analyzing blood gases, and responding to hospital emergencies such as codes and rapid responses. They monitor equipment, ensure safety, and maintain accurate documentation of procedures and patient assessments. Participating in staff education, interdisciplinary rounding, and maintaining clinical competence are essential. The role involves independent work, shift management, staffing adjustments, resource allocation, and mentoring new staff and students. Qualifications: an associate’s degree in respiratory care, Florida license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP. Preferred Experience Includes Adult Critical Care And NICU. Skills required include attention to detail, troubleshooting, patient coaching, teamwork, and leadership capabilities.
