The Respiratory Therapist III position in the NICU at Marian Regional Medical Center is dedicated to providing essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. The role involves assessing respiratory status, implementing treatment plans, and educating patients/families. Key responsibilities include performing advanced neonatal respiratory care, attending staff development meetings, participating in department committees, and completing required competencies.
Responsibilities
- Absorb and implement treatment plans (oxygen, ventilation, airway management)
- Assess respiratory status
- Document interventions and collaborate with physicians and medical staff
- Show strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and equipment proficiency
- Communicate effectively with patients and interdisciplinary teams
- Evaluate own performance and seek validation for positive change
- Perform advanced neonatal respiratory care as demonstrated by standard neonatal respiratory skills, intensive care skills, and emergency resuscitation skills
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a Community or Regional NICU
- Respiratory Care Practitioner license in CA upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR within 30 days upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days upon hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 30 days upon hire
Preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire
- Stable Program upon hire
- Neonatal-Pediatric Specialty Respiratory Therapist upon hire

Pay
The posted compensation range is $55.99 - $68.93 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
Schedule
The shift is a Night shift, 6:00 pm - 06:30 am, with 72 hours per week.
