About the role

The Respiratory Therapist III position at St. Johns Hospital Camarillo is dedicated to providing essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. The role involves implementing treatment plans, educating patients/families, and collaborating with physicians and medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Absolutely attend 80% of staff development meetings on a yearly basis.
• Actively participate in department or unit committees, PIT teams, or task forces.
• Complete all mandatory competency checklists and certifications including mechanical ventilation, neonatal intubation, neonatal transports, and neonatal resuscitation.
• Pursue continued training/education in response to personal assessment and evolving medical technology.
• Evaluate own performance and seek validation resulting in positive change. Provide feedback to peers in a formal and informal review process as a team member expectation.
• Assist in reviewing and revising policies, procedures, and competencies.

Requirements

• 3 years experience in respiratory therapy, including 2 years in critical care and ventilator management.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner: CA, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, upon hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire.

Pay

The posted compensation range of $49.79 - $61.29 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
