About the role
The position facilitates and administers respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients across inpatient units, critical care settings, emergency services, and specialty programs
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain high standards of care
- Perform a wide range of routine and advanced respiratory procedures
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams in high-acuity and specialty care environments
Requirements
- Hold a current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC
- Possess (or be eligible to obtain) an Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license prior to hire
- PALS certification is preferred
- AARC membership is encouraged
Qualifications
To qualify, candidates must hold a current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC, and possess (or be eligible to obtain) an Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license prior to hire. PALS certification is preferred, and AARC membership is encouraged.
Skills
Specialized expertise in areas such as: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Emergency Department, Transport Team, ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation).
