About the role

The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, performs patient assessments, collects and analyzes specimens, measures lung function, oversees respiratory therapy treatments and technicians, and ensures high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced respiratory care, including mechanical ventilation, respiratory treatments, and oxygen therapy to patients with cardio-pulmonary issues.
• Performs patient assessments.
• Collects and analyzes specimens.
• Measures lung function to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Oversight of respiratory therapy treatments and technicians.
• Ensures high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• An AAS in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
• RRT certification by NBRC.
• Licensure by the state.
• ≥2 years of experience.
• Current BLS certification.
