Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Colorado Respiratory Therapy license (obtained prior to start date)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (or obtained within specified timeframe)
  • Graduate of AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Experience in ICU, NICU, and/or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

What You Will Do in This Role

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care across all patient populations
  • Serve as a key clinician in the Level IV NICU, PICU/PCVICU, and Adult ICU
  • Manage high-acuity and complex cases
  • Support post-operative cardiac patients requiring advanced cardiopulmonary management
  • Perform and manage advanced respiratory therapies
  • Perform and manage advanced respiratory procedures
  • Respond to rapid response and code events
  • Maintain clinical excellence through ongoing education and competency validation
  • Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and operation of respiratory equipment
  • Provide education and consultation to physicians, nurses, patients, and families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes
  • Support a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and employee engagement
