Job Summary and Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Colorado Respiratory Therapy license (obtained prior to start date)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (or obtained within specified timeframe)
- Graduate of AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
- Experience in ICU, NICU, and/or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
What You Will Do in This Role
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care across all patient populations
- Serve as a key clinician in the Level IV NICU, PICU/PCVICU, and Adult ICU
- Manage high-acuity and complex cases
- Support post-operative cardiac patients requiring advanced cardiopulmonary management
- Perform and manage advanced respiratory therapies
- Perform and manage advanced respiratory procedures
- Respond to rapid response and code events
- Maintain clinical excellence through ongoing education and competency validation
- Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and operation of respiratory equipment
- Provide education and consultation to physicians, nurses, patients, and families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes
- Support a culture of patient-centered care, safety, and employee engagement
