Respiratory Therapist II

About the role

Respiratory Therapy consists of state licensed, professionally trained respiratory care practitioners and therapists. Our team is there to assess the needs of patients and provide therapies to help speed the healing and recovery to return to the highest possible level of cardiopulmonary health as quickly as possible.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with Cardiac or Pulmonary disorders.
• Obtain, analyze, and correlate patient clinical data and make recommendations or implement care plans.
• Manage complex patient/ventilator systems within protocol guidelines.
• Anticipate crises and complications and perform or recommend appropriate interventions.
• Work independently within departmental guidelines.

Requirements

• Currently registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Licensed as an RCP in Missouri.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
• PALS Provider preferred.
• ECMO experience.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Learner.
• AHA ACLS within 180 days.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.

Preferred Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
