Location: Manhattan, KS | Facility: Ascension Via Christi Home Medical | Specialty: DME Home Care | Schedule: Days | Full-time | Sign-on bonus: $10,000
How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Perform evaluations and provide high-level care for patients with complex respiratory insufficiencies.
- Analyze patient needs to determine treatment types and frequencies.
- Implement and monitor respiratory equipment and advanced care modalities.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, community resources, and long-term support programs.
- Provide intervention during code situations and life-critical events.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
