Respiratory Therapist - Flexi

Position Overview Role: Respiratory Therapist (RT) responsible for delivering evidence-based respiratory care, including therapeutic and diagnostic treatments, to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. Key Duties: Evaluate patients, administer treatments, manage ventilator protocols, and consult with physicians to develop and modify care plans. Work Environment: May include adult and neonatal care, with opportunities to manage complex cases such as cystic fibrosis, transplants, and interstitial lung disease. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Must be registered as an RRT by NBRC and licensed or eligible for licensure as an LRT in Alabama. BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS may be required depending on the department. Work experience cannot substitute for education requirements. Skills: Autonomy in ventilator management, clinical consultation, and patient assessment. Strong knowledge of respiratory therapies and protocols. Good communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
