Respiratory Therapist Days -Howard Regional

About the role

As part of our respiratory therapist team, you will partner with physicians/staff to provide patient centered care and outstanding service delivered with respect. Your expertise in your field will allow you to advance the patient plan of care to achieve the best possible outcomes. You'll be working with the patients and families to provide age and culturally appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
• Implement conventional ventilation methods
• Perform a variety of duties related to setting up, operation, cleaning and storing respiratory equipment

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree from an accredited respiratory care program
• Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP)
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or eligible, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within 18 months of start date
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required

Preferred qualifications

• ICU and Level 2 NICU experience
• EEG placement

• Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with patients, staff, physicians and visitors
• Ability to evaluate and provide exceptional care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
