Respiratory Therapist CRT PRN

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital, part of the nation's leading provider of healthcare services, HCA Healthcare.

About the role

• Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
• Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with placement of artificial airways.
• Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider/intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
• Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
• Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.

Qualifications

• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date (CRT-State) Certified Respiratory Therapist
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate
