About the role
At TriStar Centennial Medical Center, we invest in our Respiratory Therapists as they invest in our patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
- Utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, tents and incubators.
- Administer prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosol drugs.
- Measure ventilatory volumes, pressures and blood gas analysis.
- Maintain and operate respiratory therapy equipment.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT), or Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP-State).
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, or equivalent.
- One year of experience strongly preferred.
