Respiratory Therapist CRT

About the role

We are currently looking for an ambitious Certified Respiratory Therapist to evaluate the respiratory needs of patients, develop and implement Respiratory Care Plans, and support our team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. Responsibilities

• Apply and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short- and long-term mechanical ventilation.
• Act as a self-directed professional in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
• Maintain department and hospital records, entering accurate therapy information into the hospital computer system.
• Set up and administer all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages.

Requirements

• Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Current Florida State License as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification (required within 30 days of employment).
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (required within 6 months of hire).
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 6 months of employment start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – within 30 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – within 6 months of employment start date.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential, either state or NBRC-certified.
• 1 year of experience required.
