Essential Responsibilities
- Administers therapeutic respiratory care procedures according to hospital and department policies.
- Completes documentation that is required to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness e.g., charting, billing, IPOC, patient/family education.
- Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures according to hospital and department policies.
- Provides instruction to patients and other members of the healthcare team as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
- Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
- CPR – American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Preferred: Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT, Two years' experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting.
