Respiratory Therapist
About the role
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Primary Care Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team to service our patients in the South Carolina area. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed Respiratory Therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform visits in homes, ALF's, and ILF's under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans.
- Conduct exercises with patients and educate them on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises.
- Document patient progress and communicate regularly with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and instruct patients on individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring equipment is properly sanitized and maintained.
- Auxiliary in the development and implementation of discharge plans, including providing patients with instructions for continued care and recommending appropriate follow-up services.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
- CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
- Physical stamina and dexterity necessary to assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic activities.
Qualifications

Pay
This is a salary-based position, with the opportunity to receive a monthly bonus.
Schedule
This is a full-time salary-based role, working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
