Respiratory Therapist

About the role

This full-time Sleep Respiratory Therapist role is based at the South Campus in the Sleep Clinic and Diagnostic Labs department, working 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients and families about sleep-related breathing disorders and PAP therapy
• Makes sure patients follow their PAP therapy
• Helps patients understand how to use their PAP devices
• Assists with getting new patients ready for sleep studies
• Helps patients get through sleep studies
• Helps patients get through PAP naps and MSLTs
• Helps patients get through Actigraphy
• Serves as a resource for families and community agencies
• Represents the facility in external collaborations

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree
• 2-3 years pediatric respiratory care experience
• RCP licensure
• BLS certification

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Sleep lab experience
• Certifications such as SDS or RPSGT
• Knowledge of sleep breathing disorders
