Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview Provides respiratory care using critical thinking skills as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Assesses patients, develops, implements, and evaluates care plans, administers medications, and educates patients and families. Acts as a clinical resource, provides leadership, and participates in healthcare improvement activities. Performs additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Current state license and RRT credential according to the National Board for Respiratory Care.Recent clinical respiratory care experience; hospital experience preferred.Successful completion of hospital and departmental orientation.Computer literacy with Windows and Microsoft Office.BLS certification required within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.Administer medications and provide health education.Collaborate with healthcare team and support lifelong learning.Support clinical leadership and contribute to quality improvement.
