Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Provide direct respiratory care and therapy to patients per physician orders.
• Assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and optimize patient care.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards.
• Operate and calibrate respiratory therapy equipment and devices.
• Document patient progress and therapy outcomes in medical records.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices.
• Schedule, coordinate, and prioritize patient caseload on-site.
• Support team goals by demonstrating accountability for personal performance.
• Educate patients and families on therapy plans, home care, and safety.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active license.
• Provide direct respiratory care per physician orders and protocols.
• Assess respiratory status; tailor therapies and monitor outcomes.
• Infection control, safety compliance, and standard precautions.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot RT equipment safely.
• Document progress and outcomes in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for care plans.
• Manage therapy pipelines; forecast demand and resource needs.
• Participate in continuing education; stay current with best practices.
• Schedule, coordinate, and prioritize patient caseload on-site.
• Support team goals by demonstrating accountability for personal performance.
• Educate patients and families on therapy plans and home care.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to meet targets.
