Responsibilities
- Performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician
- Evaluation, diagnosis, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems such as emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, cardiac failure, and chest trauma
- Assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, considering age and population-specific needs and requirements of the patient
- In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as team lead, responsible for the section or department during their shift
Qualifications
- State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- ACLS certificate within 60 days of hire
- PALS certificate within 60 days of hire
- High School Diploma or equivalent
