Sentara Health is currently hiring Registered Respiratory Therapists for all of our locations!

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients in various settings.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat respiratory conditions using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and infection control protocols.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's degree required.
• Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.
• State license, active NBRC RRT and BLS required at time of hire.
• For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered respiratory therapist (RRT).
• Must hold a current BLS certification.

Skills

• Strong clinical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
