Respiratory Therapist

About the role

The primary purpose of your job position as CPS/Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) is to perform assigned duties in an effective manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a successful viable department is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of Cardio Pulmonary Procedures without constant supervision.
• Care for a patient population, which includes adolescents and geriatrics; responds to the special needs of each patient according to age.
• Assumes responsibility for assigned areas and/or procedures/treatments and performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Respiratory Care and is a Certified or Registered Therapist.
• Licensed by the state of Ohio.
• Complete understanding of all common respiratory procedures and sterile techniques.
• Basic knowledge of how a respiratory department functions.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Able to prioritize and work independently.
• Able to function effectively and efficiently in emergencies.
• Able to make quick decisions when necessary.
