Respiratory Therapist
About the role
We’re seeking a skilled and caring Respiratory Therapist to join our team in providing respiratory care to residents in our skilled nursing facilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and care teams to deliver high-quality treatment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement respiratory therapy treatment plans
- Administer inhalants, operate ventilators, and manage therapeutic gas systems
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as needed
- Perform bronchopulmonary drainage and assist with breathing exercises
- Collaborate on discharge planning with physicians, nurses, and social workers
Requirements
- Graduate of an NBRC-accredited program
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Valid Ohio license and Basic Life Support certification
- At least 1 year of experience (long-term care and ventilator experience preferred)

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Passion for improving the quality of life for those with respiratory conditions
