About the role
The Respiratory Therapist role performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients to aid physicians/advanced practice practitioners in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders. Administers respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiovascular system, under supervision of the physician/advanced practice practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Performs diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems of patients to aid physicians/advanced practice practitioners in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders.
- Administers respiratory care modalities and life support to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiovascular system, under supervision of the physician/advanced practice practitioner.
Requirements
- Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care, RRT, or CRRT required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current ACLS, PALS and NRP Certifications required or must obtain within one year of start date or according to department guidelines.
Qualifications
- Graduate from AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
- One year of acute care experience preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy techniques and procedures.
- Ability to interpret diagnostic test results and communicate findings to healthcare providers.
- Proficiency in administering respiratory care modalities and life support.

Pay
