Respiratory Therapist

About the role

Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport, ME is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to provide independent, high quality respiratory care across a variety of clinical settings and patient populations. This role independently applies clinical knowledge in most practice settings and demonstrates clinical reasoning and decision-making. The position is Full Time (36 hrs) with Day Shift and a self-scheduling model. PBH is a regional ICU.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop and adjust respiratory care plans, and manage complex patient needs within established standards and protocols.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Co-ARC approved school of Respiratory Therapy required.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Respiratory Care required. RRT certification required (must have RRT certification to advance to a Level II). Current BLS Certification required within 30 days of start date. Current ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications as required by facility, or must obtain within one year of start date.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of Respiratory Therapy experience required.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $37.09 to $50.17 per hour. Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
