Responsibilities
- Conduct in-office CPAP setup and education appointments with patients.
- Demonstrate proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of CPAP, BiPAP, and related sleep therapy equipment.
- Review prescribed therapy settings and ensure equipment is configured appropriately.
- Fit and adjust masks to maximize patient comfort and therapy effectiveness.
- Educate patients on sleep apnea, therapy benefits, and compliance expectations.
- Answer patient questions and address concerns regarding equipment operation and therapy success.
- Troubleshoot common equipment and mask issues.
- Monitor therapy usage and compliance reports as needed.
- Document patient interactions and education provided in company systems.
- Collaborate with physicians, sleep centers, and internal team members to support patient outcomes.
- Maintain knowledge of respiratory therapy and sleep therapy best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Current Respiratory Therapist license in good standing (state-specific requirements apply).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential preferred.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, and sleep therapy equipment preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic documentation.
- Able to provide exceptional customer service and build patient confidence.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
