About the Role

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) performs respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, with consideration for age and population-specific needs. The RCP II may occasionally serve as Lead RCP, overseeing the section or department during their shift.

Qualifications

  • Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintained current.
  • Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained current.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate preferred.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of acute care experience preferred.

Schedule

Part-time (over 59% FTE), night shift.
